The founding company of Angeli’s is a festival and special event company, which Tony Angeli started more then 20 years ago. In the second year of this company’s existence, by a magnificent twist of fate, Andy Mastrino and John Taylor began working for Tony as a way to make some extra money for the summer. This relationship grew, as did the company, vending at such venues as the Taste of Chicago and the Naperville Rib Fest, just to name a few. We shared an understanding that our work ethic and our passion for great food and terrific service could take us as far as we wanted to go. It was time to look for a location for the “place to hang our hats”.

The location at Chicago Avenue and Naper Boulevard was perfect for us. This 40-seat restaurant was an ideal setting to demonstrate our attention to customer service and a passion for this business, while serving some of the best food in the area. By offering fine caliber cuisine along with unique, consistent service, the Angeli’s secret was not kept for long. Soon, our 40-seat restaurant was at capacity nearly every night. We, along with our patrons, were ready for a larger spot. We have since expanded to just under 100-seats with an exquisite new bar and a kitchen facility most would envy.

The transition into catering was smooth; with our background in festivals and special events, we incorporated our high volume expertise with the elegance and amazing cuisine of the restaurant to create this specialty catering company. Our goal is to make sure our customers receive whatever it is they wish for. This goal has been realized over and over again. Through countless successful events such as serving 5,000 guests at a company picnic, serving 1,200 people in 35 minutes at Soldier Field and even providing elegant weddings in people’s backyards, Angeli’s Catering has proven to be both a successful and immensely rewarding experience for us. In 2003, Angeli’s catered an exclusive wedding named “Wedding of the Year” by the Chicago Sun-Times.
